Our work

Initiatives
Our office leads several projects that support diversity and inclusion on campus, in the community, and across the Nevada System of Higher Education. These efforts help make the University a more welcoming and fair place for everyone.
Education and training
Our office offers workshops and trainings on diversity, equity and inclusion. These include sessions on topics like microaggressions and implicit bias, and are open to faculty, staff, and students.

The Multicultural Center

The Multicultural Center supports the academic and social success of all students at the À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, Reno. It offers advising, leadership opportunities, counseling support, student groups, outreach and programs that help students learn from one another.

Counseling Services

Counseling Services provides mental health and wellness support to students. The goal is to help students manage challenges, stay healthy, and succeed in school and in life.

Disability Resource Center

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) works to make sure students with disabilities have equal access to classes, programs, activities and opportunities at the University. You can learn more about the University's commitment to accessibility.

The Student Center for Engagement helps undergraduate students get involved, make a difference and help shape the University community.

Veteran Services helps student veterans and their families access and use their education benefits through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Black Lives Matter

Today, this University stands in solidarity with its Black student leaders who have brought forward several action items in the “Listen to Us” platform that will make us a better institution for Black students, faculty and staff.

We acknowledge that the À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, Reno is situated on the traditional homelands of the Numu (Northern Paiute), Wašiw (Washoe), Newe (Western Shoshone), and Nuwu (Southern Paiute) peoples. These lands continue to be a gathering place for Indigenous Peoples and we recognize their deep connections to these places. We extend our appreciation for the opportunity to live and learn on their territory.
