Summary

Kaci Fleetwood is faculty at the College of Education & Human Development within the À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, Reno. She works for the Nevada Center for Excellence in Disabilities, the Nevada PBIS Technical Assistance Center (PBISTA), and in conjunction with the Nevada Department of Education and the Nevada Health Authority.

In her current role as Assistant Director of PBISTA, she coordinates the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) with partnering school districts, facilities, and agencies. As a Principal Investigator, she has brought in over $12 million in external funding to support service-based state-wide projects.

In Nevada, she actively partners with executive leadership teams to install, scale, and sustain MTSS. She has consulted federally with the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration as a subject matter expert in School Mental Health. Kaci has provided training and technical assistance on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and School Mental Health nationally and internationally.

Prior to focusing on clinical work and implementation science in large-scale systems, Kaci began her career as an educator teaching special and general education at the elementary and high school levels. She has worked at the classroom, school, district, regional, and state levels in education. Kaci Fleetwood has served as the prior President and Vice President of the International Association for Positive Behavior Support (APBS), is a licensed clinician (LBA), a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional (CCTP), and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). She holds Nevada Educator Licenses in Elementary Education, Special Education, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and as a Literacy/Reading Specialist.
