Meet the Pin Designer
Asha Thweatt is currently a senior enrolled at the Academy of Arts, Careers, and Technology. Working in her fourth year in the Communication Arts and Media pathway at her school, Asha studies Graphic Design. Asha enjoys creating digital works as well as graphic designs such as logos and advertisements. At her school, Asha is CMO of her academy as well as president of the National Arts Honors Society. In the future, Asha sees herself majoring in something design-related at university and following that pathway to a job she loves.
In creating the design for the 2026 BRSC pin, Asha began her process by looking at pins from past years. Afterward, Asha created several sketches of possible pin designs before settling on two different versions. Choosing the color palette was next, followed by creating the design digitally. Once each design was made, small parts of the design were changed and tweaked until Asha was satisfied with the result.
